Tier on Tier Plantation Shutters Fitted to Sash Window in Living Room of Victorian Cottage in Windsor

We was recently in the beautiful town of Windsor, Berkshire to install some plantation shutters onto a sash window in both a living room and front bedroom of a Victorian cottage.

Our client contacted us in January after receiving one of or company flyers in the post, they had been quoted by a larger shutter company  Thomas Sanderson, but was also looking for a local company for another quote.

A member of our design team went to visit the client to discuss their requirements, as they had traditional windows in this period property, they wanted be able to open the shutters to allow lots of light into the living room, but as their cottage was street facing they also wanted privacy .

We recommended tier on tier shutters, as with the look of full height shutter, they are designed with four panels of two layers on top of each other which allows both the top and bottom to be operated independently with the option to open all of them, or the top panels can be opened for maximum light and the bottom louvres tilted and adjusted for light and privacy.

The shutters were designed from our Cuba Range of hardwood shutters with MDF frames and real hardwood panels, made to order with 76mm louvres and finished in silk white to compliment the windows from inside and outside of the cottage.

Eden House Shutters has a range of different styles of plantation shutters, for every  style of window from a period property to a modern new build.
