Family Home Windsor
Eden House recently returned to the popular tourist town of Windsor, Berkshire, close to the River Thames and Windsor Castle, to install internal plantation window shutters in the living room and bedrooms of a family home. Our client contacted Eden House Shutters after moving into their new home, a town house which faced onto a busy road. The client was looking for more privacy but also wanted to replace the curtains and curtain poles to create a greater feeling of space and open plan feeling through a modern and stylish window dressing, shutters were the perfect solution.
We recommended café style shutters for the living room and full height shutters in the bedroom where privacy and darkness was essential. We designed the made to measure shutters using our premium MDF range, our entry level material which is most cost effective and used 76 mm width louvres for all the windows. As the property was north facing and felt a bit dark inside, we selected our brightest shade of white colour, Pure White from our wide colour palette. Not only did this white shade match the window fascias, architraves and window sills, it also bounced the maximum light into the room.
Other design details for this client, included our hidden tilt rod system, which allows the client to tilt the shutter louvres without the tilt rod for more modern, clean design.
