12 Apr Period Property Sash Windows Transformed with Plantation Shutters in Grade-II listed Georgian House, Winchester, Hampshire
Eden House Shutters was recently in the historic city of Winchester to install some plantation shutters to transform the sash windows of a period property, the Grade-II listed Georgian house in Winchester, is situated in a sought after residential area within a short walk of the city.
Our client had been a resident in Ascot, Berkshire for many years and had recently purchased this exceptional period house in Winchester, Hampshire,
Our design team went to view the property in December, to give our client help and advice of the best style of shutters within keeping of the house charm and character, the house retains many beautiful period features, including high ceiling, ornate cornicing and large sash windows, with much of the original architecture thought to date from the 19th Century having been retained.
Our client was looking for an effective light control solution that would be versatile in providing privacy in the Front Room, Dining Room and Kitchenette.
We recommended full height bi-folding plantation shutters with 64mm louvres with hidden tilt rods to be fitted in this colourful period home.
In all rooms the interior shutters were made to measure to perfectly fit each window, we designed the shutters in MDF and finished in creamy to colour match the paintwork.
Eden House Shutters has a range of different styles of plantation shutters, for every style of window from a period property to a modern new build.
